Sturdy condition overall; can be sat on and support weight. The tapestry is 17th century, but likely not original to the furniture. It has some areas of slight fraying or splitting between sections of color, with a few sewn repairs, but overall the tapestry is clean and intact. The stuffing is lumpy and uneven; the undersides are sprung and the springs can be felt and seen beneath the tapestry. Frames with some looseness in the joints. Shrinkage revealing the pegs, worm channels, old scuffs, marks and scratches as is normal. Negligible chips and discolorations throughout.Condition reports are available upon request.
